It's been a wonderful summer, but not without allergic reactions and benadryl. No epi-pens used, so I guess that's a plus.
It seems like more and more we all learn about the usual things becoming detrimental to our health; butter, cigarettes, alcohol, fat, mosquitoes, ticks, sex, ect. The list goes on and on.
Well now it's popcorn, specificly Orville Redenbacher and Act II microwave. I love Act II!!!
Consumers and factory workers are at risk according to an article you can find at http://cbs13.com/health/health_story_247182329.html
The diacetyl in the butter flavoring is approved by the FDA, but needs to be reduced to the extent possible by the manufacturer.
Well, we all know the FDA approves a lot of things they shouldn't, like latex gloves in food service. From my point of view with latex allergy, I don't want to see latex in anything. Sounds like a good reason to write to the FDA again. I would love your help. Karl Klontz, M.D. is the person to write to about your opinion or reactions to foods handled with latex gloves.
